cheapest way to buy silicon grease is the large tubs for push fit drain connections i keep one in the van and keep some in the dividers on top of the tool box think ive had present tub over 4 years
they charge nearly as much for the little pots as the big one

I have a tiny pot in my toolbox. Lasted ages as well (probably because I hardly ever use it). I was told if you're doing sewage work then sticking vaseline up your nose helps. Does anyone know if silicone grease works as well?

agreed as a young plumber we had tallow for wiping joints silicon grease is the modern version so many uses taps valves tight fittings shower valvesand cartridges they are all easier with some grease

of you do repair work to sewage,use bleach !kills the bacteria and the smell 🙄🙄🙄
