The receiver is on and connected to wifi. The immersion heater is off. Pushing the button with the broken-circle symbol will toggle the immersion on / off until the next programmed transition time arrives.

Unnecessarily complicated IMHO but I'm a dinosaur who believes that heating systems have no business needing wifi / internet connections / smartphones to work.
