got a customer complaint of sewage smell from a saniflow I fitted ( hate them!) .
Was fitted 12 months ago and all fine until lately. It take wc, shower from one end and basin from the other. Trap is probably getting pulled out on the shower. But why? Run is only 1m, with no bends and it’s a deep shower trap.
Also the connections have a rubber flap.

Is there anything that makes the saniflow less fragrant?

Thanks in advance.

Isn't there an air admittance valve on the top of those
Could be partially open
It's years since I fitted/worked on one, so I may be talking nonsense (as usual)

Duel push button flush?
Hard water area?
Outlet pipe down and under the floor?

Connections have rubber flap, what connections & where mate?

Thanks for the reply.
It’s a sanipac pro, with the toilet connection on the side.
Female customer.
Concealed cistern with dual flush.
Room in basement, so Pipework going up to stack 2.1m vertical and 3m horizontal.
Soft water.
The flaps were in the housing where the flexi rubber connectors are.

Hope this helps.

It all helps mate.

Females and their acute sense of smell (It is a fact) can be a pita.
Tell her to change her diet. Good luck with that one 🙂
Run a pipe from the breather outlet to the open air (another pita).
Best from new solution in this case is to turn the power off, run a hot shower adding a non foaming disinfectant down the waste at the same time, turn water off when it backs up into shower tray, turn power on after 30 minutes, repeat until customer is happy.

Oh, and disconnect the half flush. 😉

EDIT:
A large bucket of 4 - 5L of very hot water (Not boiling hot) with the disinfectant down the pan with power off also works and can be quicker.
