So obama wins

Afraid I am firmly in the don't care category. I know absolutely nothing about politics. Right wing or left wing are football positions to me.
Politicians to me are just the school bullies and loudmouths moved on to the next platform.

Glad obama won.
If Romney won it would have been immediate war on Syria and Iran. War has always been good for the American economy at the expense of poor and ethnic nations.

Obama rolled back the troops from Iraq and Afghanistan much in line with the American (and global) peoples outlook but significantly against the rest of Americas political big hitters. I hope obama has the gumption to further stick to his principles and avoid an unnecessary war for the sake of kickstarting a flagging economy.

Just relieved that the free world will not be led by a man who believes that the world is only 6000 years old

Mike-c I had to read your comments then look at your name twice cause I thought I had written them haha,
I probably should care about politics but I just can't because I think they are all liars

I'm glad Obama has been re-elected, he's the lesser of the two evils imo - Romney sounded too much like Bush for my liking; not quite as thick, but that could have made him even more dangerous.

Obama showed some of his true colours during the BP crisis: the "special relationship" didn't count for much then, and I wouldn't buy a second-hand car from him. But there you go: how long would an honest man or woman last in politics these days? The flannel and the duplicity goes with the job.

I see David Cameron has been quick to jump on the band-wagon by sending this statement of good wishes:-

Prime Minister David Cameron sends his congratulations to Barack Obama, saying together they need to "kick start the world economy". (BBC News)

David Cameron couldn't kick start a Honda C90!

Although I think he may have a future in stand-up comedy.

happy that obama won, best of bad bunch really although there is some good in obama with his health care reforms for the poor.

if mitt romney had won or Mitler as my son prefers to call him. then i fear between him and the israeli president netenyahu( i know that aint spelt right) who clearly voiced his support for him. we would be on course for world war 3.

I don't really like any politicians but thank Christ Obama got in! The world simply couldn't take another bush like character at the moment! Mitts views on the world are dangerous.

I'm American, but have been living in the UK for a few years now, so I've not really been following American politics very closely. I have quite a few friends back home who are very upset about having Obama for another 4 years. I personally think he is getting a lot of unfair grief. The economic crisis was starting before he came into office and I think 4 years isn't enough time to fix something like that. Sometimes things get worse before they get better and I'm glad he's been given another term to hopefully see America through to some better times. As for Romney, he just never came off as strong enough a character to me.

I was glad Obama won because I think he represents a 'safe pair of hands' to have on the wheel when there are so many world issues impacting on the US, not least China's industrial success and the effect on American jobs (the US being just one of many countries so affected).

I don't know much about American politics in practice, but to me, the US elections seem like a massive sales and marketing campaign where the person with the most money to spend has the best chance of winning.

Obama talks a very good game, but ironically, he sets himself up to fail by raising expectations so high in the American public. Listening to some of the interviews with ordinary Americans made me wonder how they can ever expect one man to put right what involves so many global problems?

One of Obama's great assets is his voice, he has such a solid and reassuring delivery that it makes him sound convincing and solid in his approach to managing the unmanageable. I find it hard not to like him, although as already said, I'd think twice about buying a second-hand car from him.
