yeah could do but just wondered if anyone has made somthing thats good for the job and wouldnt mind sharing 🙂 i'll have to have a look around the net see if there is anything that would do the job

im thinking about writing some software using mysql/php and using it on my website to enable me to log in and update customers/job details/reminders/print invoices etc...
anybody else got any suggestions of things that i could include to make the pprogram any better

Management accounts?

For example, how many hours to complete the job including first viewing, shopping, phone calls, time doing job, time writing up quote and invoice and how much payment per hour (work only and total of ancillary work).

Cost of materials - for example I have a spreadsheet (copied from my annual accounts) which shows how much everything has gone up over the years.

Which jobs use which skills e.g. cold water, heating, tiling, carpentry, etc.

I'm not saying you NEED any of this but just giving some ideas which might spark something you want to keep track of.

Hi my name is Michael Buxton and I run an IT consultancy business in Essex, I am currently finishing the final features of a software program for plumbers which tracks boiler reminders using a customer database. The program contains data such as the usual customer information (tel, email, address, etc) but also things such as type of boiler, parts changed etc. The program notifies the plumber at different intervals for example a month before the service is due, two weeks before and on the date so that the plumber can notify the customer with plenty of time. It also allow you to search for customers and print, so that before you go to the job you can print the information on that particular client and you know what type of boiler they have, what parts have been changed in the past etc. As well as this software my company can add extra features to help increase efficiency and productivity, so that you can maximize your revenue. As mentioned already I am just finishing the last features of the system and testing it, so it will be available very soon.

If anyone is interested in the system or would like to know more or even has a few suggestions, please do not hesitate to contact me via [email protected] or alternatively you can contact me via this site.

We have been using Commusoft Plumbing https://www.commusoft.co.uk/pricing.php which we have done for about a year now.
It can be for a sole trader but also for more engineers as you grow. We have expanded the use of it and it keeps a good time track of what is happening. Various Gas certs are on there too with the ability to invoice directly from site.
Helps the Office to work out who is where tomorrow, also with the customers details a message can be sent to let the customer know you are on the way or are delayed. Real time reporting and photos of the job or estimate site too.

So far so good

regards

Arthur.
