Hi all,
Theiving scumbags cut padlocks on my van and got away with my Kane 455 CPA1 analyser kit, incl printer, probes, plus U gauge. It was middle of the day almost right outside a relative's house where I was working, in a parking bay alongside Shepperton Lock on the River Thames. They also hit another plumber / heating engineer parked opposite and got expensive drill, drill bits, breaker, etc.
It's been reported to the local police, and I've contacted Kane who've registered the unit as stolen on their database in case it pops up for re-calibration with them sometime in the next 9-10 months.
So if you get offered a cheap Kane 455 down the pub or by an ebay seller located in the area, drop me a message with any details.
Meanwhile, I'll be keeping an eye out for the b#stards!
Cheers,
VW.

that's not good to hear i hope the police get their act together and find the scumbags

My sentiments are the same as already posted.
I hope the buggars overdose on whatever junk they spend their ill-gotten gains on

Keep an eye on eBay mate. Report the analizer as stolen to Kane. A friend of mine had his Stolen and a few months later someone tried to get it calibrated. They sent it back to its rightful owner!

I feel very sorry for you.
I know the anger. I had once Tools stolen worth nearly £2000. Unfortunately, the police didn't do much in my case.
Now someone else will be scammed when buying stolen FGA and sending it for calibration.

Gutted for ya mate, they are scum, thieving off people who are out to earn an honest wage, knocks me sick, unlikely but I hope they get caught

Sorry to hear it mate, scum bags need their fingers shortening with a pair of bolt croppers.

I was sorting out insurance the other day and AVIVA are doing a standalone insurance policy. £82 I think and your tools are covered in your van 24hrs a day up to £2k. If you do make a claim it doesn't affect your van policy which is a bonus, I thought it might be worth a look?

You'll get no joy with the police other than a crime number, can-not understand why it's not possable to have a security code that you have to input B4 analyser will work, same as on mobile phones, even a built in tracker !

the problem is that the dim whit who stolen it would not care and probably has no clue what its even used for. This is why now i only carry my analyser if i know i need it. I dont do much service work so it stays at home most of the time.

The Bar-Stewards!!!!!! if your lucky like I was when they did my tube, they'll catch the thieving gits, let them off with a warning/ caution and then to help they get the little git will write you a letter to appolagise, because that'll make it all better, and then to top it off offer you to meet the git to help him with his reabilitation!:banghead:. my reply was to ask how that would help me as it had already cost me best part of £300!!
