Not having a very good week this week with breakdowns, just not been switched on and missing the obvious. Doesn't do much for the confidence and makes me wonder how am i ever going to get to the point where i can go about breakdowns with confidence. I know its all down to experience, i am usually pretty good at picking things up quickly but i usually need to find my own way of going about it before it becomes second nature.
I had an Icos he15 today. S plan, 2 zone valves for heating and the hw valve.
The living room has it's own room stat and the rest of the house works off a separate stat.
if i turn heating on at the programmer the room stat in the living room works fine, the valve opens up and the rads get hot.
The room stat in the hall did not seem to be turning the heating on.....unless i turned the ch off at the programmer!!
Another thing, if i turned the hw on at the programmer the valve would open and hw circulates but if i turn off hw at the programmer, the valve does not close although the boiler will switch off.
What the hell can be going on?
i will say this if it helps, this customer had 11 visits last year and its all been working ok since the summer. I have been told it could be a wiring fault but how if the wiring hasn't been touched and its started to play up recently.
Confused yet??
