Can anyone tell me is it common practice to run a seperate hot and cold line dedicated especially to several showers and another seperate supply line dedicated especially to baths?

Im renovating a large house with 3 seperate showers and 3 baths with showers over the baths. I was going to run seperate hot and cold lines from the cylinder to the showers and seperate lines to baths.

What would be the advantages of this? should i run a return line from both hot water lines?

They will be fed off a 300l indirect mega flow system.

Hi. It may well of been employed with a gravity feed situation (perhaps pumps on shower circuits?) When mains supply is relied upon what difference can it have on performance? Providing the pipes are large enough and a secondary return is used. You get whats available in terms of flow. The law of probabiliy suggests only say one bath and two shower will be used simultaneously. If the mains supply feeding the system is insufficient? A break cistern can be used and a pumped supply into the megaflow with pipework sized according to the expected demand.
