How does a business go about this ? Apart from the obvious national grid and united utilites for water there are a few small private companys that provide the services of new connections and meters etc. now how would a business go about that ? Because in my area there isnt really a business supplying them just the grid etc. worth getting involved ?

Expensive. We used to use npower business as they were the business. Fulcrum (now Carillion) do all connection work, we did kiosks and got npower direct subby to fit meter and then we installed pulse meter connections to BMS. Commercial metering is slow a moment I believe due to lack of new builds/ revites. U might get a start as a subby capping off pubs and chipshops .... Lots going under about 4 a week!!

How do you start the ball rolling ? What lists do you have to go one ? What training do you have to do ?

Commercial, domestic core and metering. It's closed group . Smart meter upgrades might be way in tho.

Im talking about the actual connections from the road in HDPE. When i worked away it was always a private small company that did all the upstream side and the meter. Thats what im talking about.
