Termination of unvented cylinder T&P Relief

Hi.
I hold G3 certificate, but don't do much unvented.

I've been asked to comment & advice on an exisiting PR pipe on an unvented cylinder in a cellar.
The pipe is too small & is piped up to ground level !!
The options are:-
Enlarge pipe & terminate into exisiting waste pipes [1 1/2" ] which has a laundry sink & w/machine. Can only connect into waste before the sink & w/m, so concerned about blowing off when someone using sink.

Terminate pipe into unused void/cellar.

Terminate & fit a sump pump in void & pipe to outside drain.

I feel terminate into unused void should be fine, as the tundish is visible.

I'd appreciate any comments.

definitely can't terminate into existing 1 1/2" waste, where does the 1 1/2 waste go? Can't you follow that?

you can terminate into a waste system if you can prove it is made of material that can withstand the temp and you gain permission from building control.

you will of course need to install a hepvo valve etc.....

Thanks for your help, the way I read Doc G 3.16 b is that the discharge pipe should be independant of all sanitory connections all the way to the soil stack.
Unfortunately I can't find the soil stack or drain & therefore would have to connect into the waste before the sink [only bypassing the washing machine.] which could blow the seals on the sink.
The reg states that the pipe should not beable to be blocked by waste products, so even if I could connect into the waste after the sink this wouldn't be right ?
What are your feelings.

yes your right, it should be a connection on its own. Speak to manufacturer about the problem. you could always put the other wastes to a saniflo pump and use the exsisting waste for discharge only?

i'd go for the easy option get paid and go.

my advice is dont look for a short cut, run its own pipe and temrinate correctly and your sorted

If in your expert opinion, you can confirm where it will terminate, it will not cause damage to property or harm to persons then this may be an option. But I would be very dubious about any internal termination. The next guy along may not have same view so this must be clearly safe.
How is the sink/machine running to drain? Can you not run the D2 along same path or into a separate run waste pipe?
