Anybody know what the big boys are charging these days for fixed price repairs?

I know vaillant are around 240 plus vat which covers everything but heat exchanger and if I recall expansion vessells.
What's bg and leading manufacturers charging.

Reasonl im asking is because dont think little guys can compete on repairs by time you do the running around etc

240 is a lot though if it is only a little thing and most customers see that as well.

A lot of people don't want big companies who try to sell all the time. They want the little man so they get the same person time after time and they build trust in them. The little man has got to be honest and reliable, it goes a long way with customers and they will continue to use you.

I saw bg were doing repair cover for £7.50 a month with a £99 charge on a call out. So for a thermistor it's a lot really.

The big boys change their pricing structures often
last time I checked (perhaps a year ago) Vaillant, WB and Heateam were charging almost £300 (inc VAT).
But they do have monthly payment plans and sometimes it will include all parts, future repairs etc.
So yes for a complex problem going back to the manufacturer can work out cheaper for the customer.
