Hi all, we have a Quadrato shower from Victoria Plum. Looks like a copy of the Bristan Quadrato fed off the boiler.
We're having some issues with it making a high pitched whine / whistle sound and can't trace the source. It's the same using either the main showerhead or switching to the hand held one. The sound changes if the water temp dial is turned which initially made me think it was the thermostatic valve. The nearby sink (also on a mixed tap) is fed off the same pipework from the boiler downstairs and is totally normal in use.
So far, I've tried the following with no success:
Maybe related but last year we had some work done downstairs. A short length of the H&C pipes were modified as they were in a boxed in section and we wanted to bury them flat to the wall behind new plasterboard. The stopcock was moved about a metre away to also bury that in the wall (behind a hatch). At the same time, wet underfloor heating was installed downstairs so the boiler also supplies that via a manifold. Could either of these works have created a related issue? None of the other mixer taps in the house exhibit this behaviour.
What else can I try?
thanks!

So far, I've tried the following with no success:
- replacing the thermostatic cartridge. No change.
- dialling the mains water pressure up and down at the mains stopcock. No change.
- checked the shower pipework and heads for limescale build up but all clear.
