Being a subby for a subby is never a good idea guys up here are doing a heating system a day for £150.

Hi i have just started for them, induction was kind of rushed with not much info.

The job i was suppose to do today (change a reg boiler ot combi) was cancelled 5 minutes from me getting the job, which was 40miles away.

They were then suppose to send me details of a new job for today but nobody did, loads of calls later with nobody answering and all they said was you need to ring somebody else which i did and he then passed me onto somebody else who said i will get somebody to call you back. And im still waiting for that call.......

Has anybody who worked for them had problems with payment of wages or fuel costs?

I quit last week after six days with them, last week I covered over 300 miles and all I got done was
one radiator.

Monday = 1st job was 126 miles away, well it was after we collected our materials. Got to
the job, which was to decomission BBU, put boiler above cyclinder in the AC and install Y plan. As
soon as I opened the AC and lifted some boards on the landing I knew we were going to encounter
problems. 9.15am was my 1st call to the office couldn't get hold of anyone, kept trying and trying.
The client had told us we were the 4th set of engineers booked into to do the job and the only
set to even turn up, they had taken time off work on each occasion and even stayed in on a Saturday.
To try and smooth things over we decided to fit the rad, finally got a call back a 12.15pm and they
adviced that we should pull away from the job and that it needed to be re-surveyed. Put everything
back returned materials back to merchants and got home around 5.00pm.

Tuesday = Went to merchants with paperwork 7.30am straightaway there were problems and a
look of confusion on the guys face, were told that the job had either been done already or the
job had been returned due to the survey being wrong. Made phone call to office but got no
reply, went home and kept on calling the office, but no reply, sent emails and still got no reply.
What amazed me about this job was that I had seen an error with this paperwork and made
the appropirate people aware of my concerns, but didn't get any response.

Wednesday = More phone calls to the office and emails...still no response, got a call from the
office about 11am asking why I wasn't at my job that I should have been at the previous day,
which was a two day job. Explained to him and a director the problems I had and the problems
I was having. Came to light that they had sent me the wrong paperwork. I then got a text saying this
is your job for today....I explained to this person that by the time I would have collected the
materials and got to the job due to the distance that I wouldn't get there until around 2.30pm!
We had a two day job booked in for the Thursday, in the end I spoke to a more senior person
at the office and he agreed with my views and concerns and that he would speak to the people
concern. I then got a phone call from this person in the afternoon asking me why was I not at the
job......communication.....communication....communication!!!

Thursday = Went to collect our materials from merchants 7.30am straightaway problems with
pack, tried to call office no response, cut along story short this never got sorted, I left
merchants at 11.45am after returning materials they did have and went home. Told the
appropirate people I no longer wanted to work for them and I would put this in writting.
Sent letter of resignation when I got home.

Friday = Had a phone call asking if I needed ladders, had another phone call asking why
I wasn't at my job.

Monday = Had another phone call asking if I was on my way to my job and another phone
call regarding ladders.

sounds like a regular week with eaga

my experiance with TTS.

Worked for them for 2years before getting laid off last year...

We use to work on contract's in grimsby/s****horpe on the bullock site.. everything back then was simple.. go to work, pick up our stuff and go to do our job.. In the last 3months of working in s****horp before we lost the contract.. TTS started to pay by CHEQUE and we was told this was a problem with the bank or something or other and it will be sorted for next months payment.. the cheque thing happened for another 6months.. sometimes the cheque would bounce aswell.

We then went onto EAGA work which they would send us to silly places like newcastle(im from grimsby) so a nice 3hour drive there.. Wasn't much problem at the time as they was paying for the fuel on the fuelcards and was using there van/insurance etc. Then they had a big meeting in manchester at 6 at night i belivie? We was working in sheffield that day so had to leave the job early just to get to this meeting, didnt leave the meeting till 11? got home about 1ish.. In this meeting this is were they chose to remove the fuel cards, vans etcetc.

When we had to use to pay with our own fuel etc.. its a ball ache chasing it all up.

We use to sit in plumb centre for about 3hours every morning waiting for the 'heat pack' to get sent threw or sometimes have to sit there because TTS was on 'STOP'

The guy i worked with got laid off and he is still owed about £1500. I know he took them to court.. and i know a few other people have also taken this company to court. Also know a few who have recently joined them and have unpaid wages/fuel but can't leave due to the fact they need the money.

AVOID.

Had the same experience with them, they still owe me over £2000 from a year ago. They are to be avoided at all costs.

Just a quick word to all you who posted on here.........i found the electricians forum which is the same as this site same domain have an open discussion on there, its quite worrying the stuff put on about this company take a look at the posts on there about TTS

agree with post above... 15 pages on 1 thread on the electricians forum.... there taking TTS to court, informing watchdog... going personally to TTS offices etc... all to do with money not paid ....... p.s .. it appears that TTS have been reading the thread too !!.. makes a very interesting read...

set of clowns owe plumb centre a fortune when we worked for them lads not been paid or always paid short leave them alone

alryt lads anyone else worked for Total Trade........so that I don't get blocked from the forum though can you PM me if you wanna group together, dont matter how long you been working for them, if you are owed money and in same boat as me send me a message if your serious bout getting your money back!! No total trade management fools mind cos I know who you are and how you operate!!!!

I'm one of their latest victims, left them after a couple of months and they owe me my last wage, i didn't get any fuel allowance for the last 6 weeks which was one of my main reasons for leaving, other reasons were the amount of cancelled jobs and messing around I did for them. It cost me to work for them in the end! I'm gonna send this guy a letter

I worked for them from february and they've only payed me for march and may April is completely missing and they don't want to talk about it. I'd sent watchdog and acas messages gonna send that bald man one too let me know how you get on mate

I have also been in touch with ACAS there is a form you can fill in on line, last time i spoke to them they denied the tempo energy services excisted also all field managers changed phone numbers.
