Hi All,

I was wondering if anybody out there is able to help with this minor, yet annoying problem, I'm having with my towel radiator please? 🙂 I'd really appreciate it!

My bathroom towel radiator (image below) hasn't been working for months. I've tried bleeding it several times and have played with both valves endlessly, but to no avail.

I did manage to get some heat to re-enter the radiator for a moment once, but that faint glimmer of hope soon ended! Could somebody help please? I've even tried "purging" the system - by turning off all other radiators in the house and maxxing up the central heating.

Had it many times on those cheap style valves, they seize in the off position! I would be fitting replacement Valves if the other checks have been done

Some of those cheap valves are very like a modern tap works. Total tat.
There is always a slight possibility when you have unexplained lack of flow through a radiator that it is because the valve on the return side has the brass 'washer' bit disconnected from the works. This will mean that water can come out of the valve but not go into it as the washer bit will push closed. Seen this only a very few times and it is a head scratcher at first.
