Hi All,
I'm struggling with a Turbomax 824e which keeps blowing fuse F3 on the pcb as soon as the fan starts. If I disconnect the fan the fuse does not blow but when I replaced the fan with a new one the fuse blew again. I've checked the cable to the fan and that's ok.
Any help greatly appreciated.

Paul

Pump runs ok, the fuse goes after the fan has been on for about 1-2 seconds. Resistance across pump, fan, gas valve and transformer are all ok.

cld be pcb - think I'd give Vaillant a call & see what they say

I'm starting to think it has to be the circuit board - just wish there was some way of testing it before I shell out for a new one as it will be non-refundable.

nightmare these jobs like this,i would double check all again for resistance, call vaillant tech(which are a pain to get throu to)
before buying a board,i would check everything, continuity, etc

best of luck & let us know how you get on ?

Paul have you checked the APS and it's wiring? Next stage after fan is to prove the fan, APS. Then ignition sequence after that! If APS & wiring ok then it ignition related..yeh?

had simular sort of thing once turned out to be the lead to the gas valve apparently its got a diode of some sorts in it and takes out the board if you speak to vailant they might tell you how to test that..
