Can anyone tell me what I should be ordering from BES to get my 35[SUB]mm[/SUB] copper connected up to the newly installed U16 meter? I have just had installed by Southern Gas Networks a U16 meter with apparently, so the guy from SGN said a 1" meter connection size. My problem is that I tried to fit a meter adaptor rising BS 746 1" female X BS 746 1 [SUP]1/4[/SUP]" male (page 31 BES Cat P/N 0232 GAS METER UNIONS, ADAPTORS & FITTINGS) to Comp 35[SUB]mm[/SUB] X 1 [SUP]1/4[/SUP]"Parallel female (page 153 BES Cat P/N 9020 PIPE FITTINGS - UK COMPRESSION) and the threads don't allow engagement. So in short, how do you connect BS 746 to BSP thread tapper or parallel?
