Underfloor heating pipe repair

My electrician has just (accidently) drilled a hole into the first floor underfloor heating pipe - its henco triple layer 16mm .... using an ASHP...
I hope there is a simple repair rather than ripping up the whole floor and replacing that loop.. all suggestions welcome...

would this do the job?

Repairing external leaks (to all types of water pipes)
To repair leaking external pipes and fittings, use Fernox LS-X External Leak Sealer with a bandage of Fernox PTFE plumber’s tape or another suitable reinforcement such as Fernox Leak-Fix tape or Fernox Fix-It putty.

After turning off the water and draining down to remove water pressure from the leak, apply Fernox LS-X to a dry surface all round the area of leakage. Wrap the pipe with a layer of PTFE tape or other reinforcement with 50% overlap and extend well beyond the area of the leak.

Immediately apply repeat coats of LS-X and further layers of bandage to form a repair about 5mm in total thickness. Then allow to cure.

Just contact the manufacturer the sell repair kits, I had one from continental before.

I am not familiar with the brand but they will do couplers, find the hole cut it out and couple it together, you will need two of them and you can re use the pipe you cut out, minus the hole.

If you're gonna just try to wrap it up and forget about it you should probably put a grub screw in first.

i would make the cut on the hole as well then you only need one coupler

Same here, and funnily enough had to go and buy some LS-X for the first time ever

It don't think it would work if you cut it on the hole, have attempted this but thought better of it as you haven't got clean edges for fitting the coupler.
cut it close either side of the hole might get away with one coupler maybe need two depending on if you have any play in the pipe

Yea but you'll probably have to cut a little section out for the coup like a few mm or something, I did with mine, the coup was pretty bulky.
remember to ut enough of the floor up so you get some play on the pipe when repairing it... Don't want to be kinking it as well.

Thanks for all the input... contacted the Underfloorheatingstore and they supplied 2 cuplings... 1 has done the job £10 fix... thanks all...

if you've got a bit of slack one coupler will do, if not cut out a section and fit two couplers

Given that everybody has a really unique idea to settle this why don't you simply call a professional plumber in your area instead. I mean don' t you think it would be easier for you to not rack your brains and let someone else do it for you. And I so hope that you are not using that electrician still because the next thing you know he might be drilling in some other wrong place.
