I am having huge pellet fuel consumption problems with my underfloor heating system but no one can give me an explanation or a way to make it more efficient. My system is pellet with underfloor zone and part floor ground rads and up stairs zone rads. i had the temp on u/f set at 19.5 deg constant and changed on advice to 19.5 at evenings and set back to 15 during night and day when not in. My rads only come on in the evening. Havent seen any change in fuel consumption. when the rads are on the consumtion is high. Last night i filled the bin with 2 10kgs bags and this morning i got up and it was all gone. so it used 2 bags in 12 hrs that would be 4 average per day and 28 per week at cost £80 i thought oil was bad but pellets are bleeding me dry. Can anyone advise on a best method of getting a decent efficiency. By the way is 15deg set back too low.

Why was you advised not to put a buffer in?
Can you send some pics of the set up manifolds mixing valves and boiler please

Ok how do I upload photos here. I was told a buffer tank was just another itelm owater to heat up and that the u/Floor heating was enough. Just added another bag of pellets at 6pm rads on now cam home at 10 bag fully used up. What is consuming this lot. Definately see no improvement bby setback twmp in fact consuming more by heating up from 15 to 19 help

What boiler it it. When was it serviced last. How well is your building insulated.
