Hi All
Two quick questions;
1/Does an underground oil tank over 2500ltrs require a bund?
2/I dont appear to have any filter in the oil lines, would this be something I can take up with the buiders (built 2003)

Thanks

Hi. It was not required on underground storage some years ago. But a call to the council in your area and directed at the petroleum officer (they wear a few hats but are up to speed on requirement) a local garage may well provide the phone number. They were however surrounded by concrete, this would act a a bund and is required to stop the tank popping out the ground when empty and the water table is high, As for the filter, to buy and fit would only cost a bit more than the phone calls and aggravation following the trail after 7 years. It surprising the service eng. has not noticed this situation during visits? Good Luck
