hello everyone just wondering if someone can help with some clearence regulations

boiler is a vaillant ecotec 418

1, boiler above free standing cooker
2, boiler above sink

thank you

dont place a boiler above a cooker as the steam off pans etc will get into the pcb and electrics causing corosion and short it out, much the same for over a sink and you are dealing with proximity of water to electrics here as well, as dealt with in electical regs as well bum seam getting into boiler electrics and causing shorting out again. imho neither position is suitable for a boiler to be mounted, try moving a cupboard.

the minimum distance from a hob/cooker to a combustible surface above is 760mm (plastic on casing) but as oldplumber has said it really is a no-no, as well as the points he raised, what about the safety side of adjusting the boiler while cooker was on, re-jig the layout is the only answer
