Vaillant Eco tec pro 28 with no timer

Hi there,
I've recently bought a property that had a Vaillant eco tech pro 28 boiler installed in approx. 2007.
The heating works when you turn it on, however there is no timer on the control panel.

The manual online doesn't explain how to set the heating to a timer.
Can anyone help?

Have you not got a remote programmable room stat.
Usually has an lcd display which displays time etc

I can't seem to upload the pics I have.
On the front of the boiler there is a panel on it, but that's blank. The manual shows the timer control in that space so I'm v confused as to how to control the heating!

I wonder if there was a programmable stat with a portable unit, and the movers packed it, thinking it was a digital clock.

I bet that happens a lot when people use professional house movers.

So I assume that I can just buy a compatible unit and fit it?

Can you see an external box with wiring going to the boiler? The box will be nondescript....but if it's there then Ray's right. The box will be the relay to the wireless stat that's no longer there!
