Hi. Could anyone tell me pls if a leakiing aav would cause the boiler to shut down?

Would I need any specialised tools to remove. The space where the nut is seems very narrow?

If you have no experience any work inside the boiler casing is risky, a splash of water will ruin the PCB.
The AAV should be an easy change for an engineer, it should come out easily.

Is the boiler due a service? I would get it changed during the service.
You could screw down the plastic cap temporarily.

I dont know its history. I did try to tighten it but it appears to be stuck. Was wary of disturbing the limescale as worried it could make the leak worse?
