hi there, today I was called to a house to service a vaillant ecotec. the boiler was first installed in 2008 and has been serviced yearly since. the gas to this property has been off for somewhere between 10-16 weeks so the boiler has been inactive.

anyway, during the routine service, I removed the burner carried out a visual inspection, cleaned and fitted a new vaillant graphite seal (burner looked normal) fired up the boiler put my analyser in the combustion side and it was giving out crazily high readings. ie

PPM: 31000
ratio: something around 0.3555
c02: 8.0

I know the c02 isn't that far off but whats going on with the other readings? Ive had slightly low and high readings before which I have adjusted but these are way out. burner visually is fine, and have also inspected the flue and it appears sealed and normal.

I then put my analyser In the oxygen side and got a reading of 20.9 which Is correct but It gave a reading of over 500 ppm when it should be 0.

can anybody please offer any info as I have never seen such ridiculous readings. analyser is fine as I have used it since.

thanks
