Waste Outlet Too Low In Wall for Basin

I've messed up. I ran a new waste for the basin to the soil stack. I've since installed plasterboard and and tiled over the wall. Now it has come to fit the sink, it seems I brought the waste out too low.



What's the best way to overcome this? Even with the adjustable bottle trap I can't get it low enough to align.

Any help greatly appreciated.

I just thought the same. I was always under the impression it’s better to have that quite low then too high up. Very often you get called out for a sink blockage or whatever reason and you see that you have got difficulties to put a proper trap in unless you install a waste and ripping the whole lot out.

I would do what Shaun says & cant/angle them of the vertical slightly which gives more play room & the trap will rotate. May need a 45 degree on as well.

Just use an extender bush and then go up a bit with the bottle trap, simple - 5 mins

Unless the trap hits the board beneath it, extend the inlet pipe and lower the trap. If it does, can you lower, or remove, the board?

I would use solvent weld elbow/pipe/elbow to bring it up; then use a p-trap , which gives you much more flexibility of fit as you can articulate the two sections to suit.
Not really a problem here, try it when you’ve brought the new pipe in too high - doh!
