Welcome to the forum. Although you can post in any forum, the USA forum is here in case of local regs or laws
Thanks ShaunPvc or abs
When I say kitchen usage I mean from a water pipe prospective, supporting everyday appliances etc. If some can confirm if this is ok It would be very much appreciated. Thanks Shaun
Just to clarify. Are we saying that any pvc I.E uPVC is up to the job in terms of handling everyday kitchen usage namely hot water etc.

You have prompted me to have another look on the pipe itself. It is actually just PVC and not uPVC. Not sure where/why i suddenly incorporated the “U”. On that basis I assume standard PVC is fine for a residential kitchen waste? Is there a really good reason you're not using standard off the shelf plumbing waste pipe.
Thanks for your input DanielBoth uPVC and mPVC can be used for bathroom and kitchen waste pipes. uPVC pipes are highly durable, have excellent chemical resistance, and are lightweight. mPVC pipes are modified for higher temperature applications and offer similar benefits. The choice between the two depends on specific requirements and preferences. Both materials meet the necessary standards for waste pipe applications.
