We recently, about 2 days ago, started getting water hammer from using the washing machine, this has been fixed by attaching an arrestor to the inlet hose which great. However we've now started getting it from the toilet completing a flush, which is upstairs and not near the washer. Is it normal for water hammer to move? And will attaching another arrestor to the toilet inlet fix this or just move it to another location?

Is it definitely water hammer? What type of filling valve is on the toilet?

I believe so as it can be slightly felt when it occurs near the floor. It's the exact one we had on before
Torbeck bottom fill vale 1/2"
