Water valves for shower!!

I got my shower installed a while ago and had to wait for an electrician to make it live! Since doing so there is no water running to the shower as a valve is closed! The bath panel has been removed and all valves under the bath are on does anyone have any ideas? Thanks for your help in this matter

has the filter on the inlet for the shower been checked? if there is one

Is it an instant heating electric shower, or a pumped electric shower? If you don't know, please give us the info you do have as its crucial.

If it is an electric shower like a Mira it has a solenoid valve which won't open without an electric supply. Much the same as your washing machine won't fill if it is not plugged in.

Its a Triton electric shower as far as im aware everything is plumbed in and electricity is goin to it the only thing that lacks is water hense the original question! The plumber who fitted it mentioned a valve to be turned on once electricity was connected! When the bath panel was removed the pipes have valves on them to open and close the pipes but everything is open and the pipe for the water to flow to the shower is connected to the cold water(i know this prob sounds very female but thats cos i is) but the pipe is open and no cold water is goin into shower

its a pumped electrics shower

If the cold feed comes from a tank in the loft check for a valve on the cold feed coming from the tank.

Hi Just loosen the nut on the pipe into the shower. Chebking whether the water supply is through to this point.

As above, if it is coming through and the shower still isnt working then the filter may well be blocked. The pipe should have been flushed through prior to it being connected.

Ask the guy that plumbed it which valve and where that needs to be turned on.

just loosen the nut to the shower as mentioned and you can eliminate no water of stuck solenoid/blocked filter

you may also be looking under the bath for a valve that has a flat head screw slot on the front of it

make sure this is inline with the pipe

can you crack the nut and losen it?

if water starts to drip out do it back up if no water comes out undo it further then report back
