WC seat disaster

Trying to replace vitra seat on a pluto wall hung pan. One of the screws has rounded off. Seats off but the brass plug in the pan itself wont move.

There is no access underneath. Drill out or take pan off the wall and hope i can get access to the bottom end of the plug?

Suggestions welcome🙂

Hi TD I'm no plumber but years in engineering So apply liberally WD40 or simular product
allow to soak preferably over night or if not as long as possible get yourself a set of easy outs heres the link BROKEN STUD SCREW BOLT EXTRACTOR SET EASY OUTS REMOVAL on eBay (end time 07-Jan-10 17:34:39 GMT)

they are a sort of hardened steel, reverse spiral ( to the tread) tappered tool that as you screw it in litarally unscrews the screwed plug. Used a lot in Engineering, Car machnics or anywere to save a exspensive F--k up's Should also be available in any cheap tool shop or supplier

id try and drill it out ive never had much luck using extractors

Nice tip mate thanks, that would do it once ive drilled the screw.

Hi Steve,
Yes drilling is defiantly one way to do it, but you would have to be very careful as if the plugs are near the edge of the bowl rim or whilst drilling the plug gets too hot it's liable to expand and crack the porcelain where as the easy out method is more passive, but if it gets the correct result any method is the right one : )
