Hi all,,
Just wondering what you guys charged for a boiler safety check and service?
I have been charging £60 for a boiler safety check, I will charge £80 for a full landlord ticket and £120 for a full service + any parts that are needed. So am I cheap , expensive or about right?and i live in worcestershire and I think those prices are reasonable for my area.

I charge £60 for a boiler service, plus gaskets/seals. £60 for a landlord cert with boiler & hob. Gas fires an additional £25 each.

For boiler service and landlord cert combined, it's £100 plus parts.

And I'm told I'm pricey (mainly by lettings agents to be honest).

That said, my hourly and daily rate doesn't even raise an eyebrow with customers, but a few lads on here reckon I'm pretty pricey!

£120 for a boiler service is steep, but if your getting it more power to you.

i think £60 for a boiler service is well cheap considering your removing and cleaning/replacing parts and still having to do all combustion and safety checks that you would on a safety check

i charge £120 for a service as i do all the same checks as i would do for a safety check plus obviously stripping down the boiler and cleaning/repairing as i go. i issue a cp12 for both boiler safety check and a service.
Im not out to rip anyone off but i think each job has to be priced individually so i always say £120 when asked. if i have to strip a combi down and service it itll take me a few hours, that being said if im servicing say an ideal mexico or similar which are far easier and quicker to get into then i will drop the fee down to £90/£100. im happy as its not as much work and the customer is always happier with some cash back.

thought i should mention i dont get alot of service work but thats why i asked the question to see if perhaps i was more expensive than others

Im not doubting your ability to service a boiler well fella. But it's market forces an all that. There aren't many out there will get £120 for servicing a combi.

No one has ever told me I'm too cheap. Everyone is allergic to paying out.
I charge about €95 with cert for boiler service. That's about 70 quid sterling. Might do a deal if they have more than 1. Did 3 for €230 this morn. Handy money for 2 1/2 hours work.

I live in Croydon and there are a lot of pricey companies about down here! I personally charge £60 for a service (full strip and clean or not),£75 if its a BBU and £50 for cp12 up to two appliances (£15 for each additional appliance after that).
If the customer wants a service and cp12 I charge £70, bit of a bundle insensitive! The way I see it if you're servicing the boiler you've as good as done the gas safety check on that appliance (I always do LB/TT and gas rate the boiler on a service anyway), so that just leaves the cooker/hob and fire (extra £15 for third appliance ;-)....)
I don't know if I am to cheap but I get the work and I'm certainly a lot cheaper than some of the bigger companies that saturate the area!
Not sure I would get away with £120 for a service (even in Croydon), but good luck to you if you can get it!

clint 1979 seems about bang on, £120 for a combi still under warranty and no need of changing seals etc only so much hovering you can do 🙂

did a combi 2nd service yesterday, just a fga really for £45.

help link who installed it charged £75 for 1st service !!!!!
