They reckon so you can swing meter up and it stops going round, don't think it works on new meters

My ex stepfather does thinks like that he took the meter off put a metal piece in between connect up and hit here you go 1 year without paying gas ... Same with mains water ... ...proper idiot

Ive been to a couple of jobs where the meter was loosely put back in and a nice bit of pipe work laying in the cupboard and water meters where you tap the middle and it falls out

He's got some great advise with some things But from a DIY point of view I think this video's a little too far, encourages DIY gas jobs even if he doesn't mean it
