What heating system do you suggest?

I have a modern (yr 2000) house with Gas central heating. We have gravity fed water system and radiators. Hot water in airing cupboard and cold tank in the loft. I am sure many saying 'standard' setup.
I am about to do some work on the house in series of projects:
1. Bathroom refit *2
2. New Boiler
3. Extension with underfloor heating (approx 1/2 of groundfloor so will lose some radiators from current setup)

The two bathrooms we have are bath & shower; bath - all off gravity hot water feed.
We will virtually never (or will deal with) someone in the shower while washer is on and filling a bath elsewhere.

We'd like a power (more powerful not skin stripping) shower. I don't know whether to go to a pump or try a new hot water system a. Combi boiler or b. Vented Pressurised System seems best options based on what I have read elsewhere.
Our cold water mains supply is fairly strong and reliable. I dont want to crack on with the Bathroom fit to find my boiler refit means re-work. If sensible I will get my plumber (yet to identify) to do it all in one go.
Any plumbing terms used here correctly ot incorrectly are by accident - I am a lightbulb changing DIY expert 🙂

Correctly sized system boiler and unvented cylinder, assuming the incoming water can handle it.

40kw duotec combi circa £2500

210l unvented and s plan with new boiler circa £3500

Duotec would be my bet though!!

Don't have a baxi fitted, they're the antiques of the boiler world and leak everywhere.

1. Bath and separate shower cubicle
2. Bath only

Baxi and leaks? Obviously not a fan. Fitted literally thousands and had only a few problems never any leaks. Repaired 100's of pin holes in worcesters though! Valliant are good as are ideal. All 3 have top after sales and warranty. Baxi 40kw has best hot water output from memory!

Always find baxi's leaking from thermistor pockets etc, only tiny drips but they ruin the casing.

If you're likely to need to use more than one HW outlet at a time in your 2 bathrooms, you'll need to go unvented. But it's all provisional until you've had your mains supply tested.

Yes Baxi do leak on DHW sensor, you just need to nip it 1/8 of a turn on install or if it's an older boiler you have come across a 8p Vokera aluminium washer will replace the fiber one and last forever. Bit easier to rectify than many of the faults on all the others?

It's horses for courses everyone has own view. I hate wb. I will only install them in skips. Horrid plastic mess.
