Welcome to the forum. Although you can post in any forum, the USA forum is here in case of local regs or laws
It is a thermal store isn't it? Reverse of a conventional hot water cylinder. Cylinder filled with primary water, coil fed by cold main to create domestic hot water?
Is this from a book some where (if so which) or have you come across these things ??I think its just another name for a thermal store
They are the same thing IIRC. They were described as "Water Jacketed Tube Heaters" in my books from my college days.Is this from a book some where (if so which) or have you come across these things ??
I know what a thermal store is I think, are you saying they are one of the same thing??
Seems to be the way of it at the moment with the guilds, Tom !! I am all for not dumbing down but some of the language they use, the young'ens are being tested of there English (oops, sorry, Scottish) skills never mind what they know about plumbing.Something in my head says thermal store too, probably because i've read it called that somewhere.
Why do they insist in calling things names no one will use. It just confuses people. Probably some european translation harmonisation rubbish.

Thanks SimonG, so, as I thought it is a thermal store, so why done they Bl***Y well call it that ? Is it because the exchange is done inside the cylinder whereas most thermal stores use plate heat exchange outside ????Water Jacketed Tube Heater http://bpc.digitalbrain.com/bpc/web...35&u=edgeware-12747671242724-14643-35&z=f.swf
