What is causing this sound?

Hi all,

Can anyone identify this sound and what is causing it? It's coming from the boiler flue, and happening intermittently (maybe every 10 minutes or so). Sometimes it comes out as short bursts, other times it can be up to around 5 seconds, but the sound is the same.

I'm not a professional plumber, but this is coming from my neighbours boiler - they have arranged a plumber recently but they did not manage to find any faults. I'm unsure what model it is. Cheers

Private apartments but rented out. I am also starting to wonder if its illegal for them to have the flue that close to a vent (I believe its for cooker extraction). They have been very unhelpful - I even offered to pay for a plumber at my own expense but now they say that the boiler is under warranty so only the boiler's company engineer can inspect the boiler - which will be over a month away...!

Yep not installed to spec. Difficult to do anything if they won’t let you in though

I would think your neighbour is telling porkies , most if not all manufacturers will be out within a few days to fix one of their boilers , assuming it is registered of course ??????
