Just be careful not spill any or splash it in your eyes. Also if it doesn't do the trick and you end up with someone rodding or clearing traps be sure to tell them what you've used!

One shot is good but whatever you use make sure you read label(some people dont) and make sure there is no other chemical such as bleach in th trap, run water through it to make sure it is clear

Dam buster is what I use, works very well, but along with the others you have to be careful with it

Knockout or less potent soda crystals should do the job, flushed out with very hot water. However, as previously stated - this stuff is highly caustic, don't handle and be cautious!

Black Swan produce their own drain cleaner, probably unavailable in the sheds to buy, so try a plumber's merchant or hardware shop. As with all the other recommendations, read the instructions because it's sulphuric acid....... but damn, it's good!

....a plunger and a bit of elbow grease.

All those chemicals are not very environmentally friendly and the acid based ones can corrode the seals on traps amongst other things.

Best way to clear a main drain is by jetting it. A blocked sink can usually have the trap and or pipework dismantled and cleaned out with very hot soapy water.
