Depended on wall thickness:ok, thanks all
Oh I was assuming this was the external inlet. Are these really still found in properties?Depended on wall thickness:
1 3/4" internal diameter could be up to 2.37 inch external (60.2 mm)
2" internal could be 2.28 inch or 2.36 inch external ( 57.9 to 59.94 mm). There were quite a few possibilities all dependent on wall thickness. You would be better weighing it but that may not be possible.
Long and short is, it could be 1 3/4" or 2" lead pipe.
Yes, there are properties left in my neck of the woods with that but they are getting fewer. This is a waste pipe. If you are thinking mains supply pipes then yes there are plenty of those still in use. They were usually 1/2" 6's, 7's or 9's around here and that meant that they were 1/2" bore and, 6lb, 7lb or 9lb per yard in weight. Wall thickness was determined by pressure. There are multiple bore and wall thicknesses in lead pipe.Oh I was assuming this was the external inlet. Are these really still found in properties?
