Hi everyone,

I have two stopcocks in my kitchen, one under the sink and one close to the wall near the combi boiler. The one under the sink turns off the cold water but the other one doesn't turn off anything is it worth my while to turn it off or just leave it as it is. I believe many years ago the flat had a old water tank so maybe this stopcock was for that any ideas? Thanks

I'd leave well alone unless you know what it is connected to and have a good reason to mess with it, neither of which seem to the case at the moment. Next time you have a plumber on site ask them to advise / investigate.

If its easy to turn off then I suggest you do that then see what it has isolated ? , if it's really stiff then get a plumber in you internal stopcock or stopcocks need to be working . Regards Kop
