Hi, I am trying to fit a hosepipe to this tap (photo attached). I bought a 3/4 female adapter which is too big for the tap. I tried a 1/2 adapter too (shown on photo) but it is a fraction too small for the tap. Any advice welcome! Thanks

It's 5/8", common on older bib taps.
Sometimes in the multifit plastic adapter kits you get one.
It's easier to change to a new tap.

Or there's this

1. If your measurement of the diameter is 13/16", that equates to 20.6 mm. The outside diameter of a 1/2" BSP (parallel) thread is 20.8 mm, so I suspect the thread is 1/2" BSP.
2. Are you sure that plastic adaptor you are trying to fit is 1/2" BSP? If not try it with something known, like a 1/2" blanking cap, such as Screwfix 51939.
3. Or change the tap as suggested above.
