Hi,

I have the attached Primo basin walk mixer from Victorian plumbing but the tap spout is a bit too short.

Can anyone tell me where I can get a chrome tap spout roughly 190-200mm long, that fits the connection I have, or even the name of the type of connection.

Its a type of connection where you push the tap on and tighten with two grub screws.

I can’t find a replacement anywhere.

any help would be appreciated.
Thanks.
ben.

Surely your best bet is to go back to who you bought it from?
I’ve done all that. It’s from Victorian plumbing. There phone lines are off due to Covid, and whoever I am speaking to cannot tell me what the type of connection is or offer me an Alternative.
which is why I’m asking you pros..

It's a common style, but sizes will vary between manufacturers.
Victorian may be able to get a longer one as they know who manufactured it.
It's possibly only made for them.

I don’t know if it’s due to Covid and all the tech guys are at home but they are really
Not helpful.
Any idea what the type of connection is called so I can just search for one on the web?
the only ones I can find are the screw in type?

I have this one.

I hate to ask what’s changed since it was all tiled in, or to mention the importance of forward planning...

Anyway.

It is generally know as a spigot connection, quite common as Snowhead says.

I’ve fitted quite a few from Dornbracht and Hansgrohe, but the size is critical as the water tightness relies entirely on a couple of o-rings fitting precisely.

Both of the above two manufacturers have fantastic dimensional drawings for their products so if you use a micrometer to size up what you have you may be able to find one that suits.

Try emailing technical at Victoria and someone should be able to help, or at least give you the manufacturer details so you could pursue that line of enquiry.

I have this one.
according to site that one as the other protrudes 200mm

I think the dimension given is from the back of the fitting inside the wall, so a fair bit shorter projection from wall.

Any luck with sizing up the spigot?
