Well the mark 2 escort was TUG 37W, the fiesta was JAG 798Y, the mark 2 astra was B644 DTN, second vectra was S369 DUP. Used to be able to remember most of my reg numbers.

My first car was a ford fiesta xr2 metallic blue pepper pot alloys was on an f reg paid £50 for it as a non runner one battery later I was the coolest cat in town

Loved my older cars. You could actually fix them without having to plug them into a computer to tell you what was wrong.

T reg Ford Fiesta, it was the same age as me, Rudolpho was his name. 995cc engine wow, it started to shake when you got near 75mph

I did 100mph on motor way to Wrexham once the highest motorway in England rapidly became the shakiest too!

Oh it was in a pug 106 D with cracked windscreen and a drivers door that only opened from inside.

Down hill and in the rain.

Quoting your own posts instead of editing them is an amazing way of boosting your post count. If dancin was about he would be giving me some abuse!

Hillman Imp, 875cc of moped power - It seamed like a good idea at the time. Heater was rubbish but was very good in snow. Binned it into a wall in the peak district chasing a Yamaha 200. Bought a Fiat 131 after that, clearly not learned anything about cars.. ha ha

rudolpho ?????????????????????????????

I have no idea why mate, my dad coined the name and it's stuck for the last 20 years
We had to do a fair bit of welding to the old boy, I still remember sitting in the back seat with a fire extinguisher and water filled spray bottle while my dad welded near the petrol tank... them were the days 😉

D reg Fiat Panda you could fill the tank for £12.

Those were the days......i used to blow my wage every weekend and then put the £2 i had left in my tank on a monday and it would see me through until Friday again.

97 reg ford fiesta in purple. Mum saw it crumpled into the back of a lorry two weeks after I sold it. (Knew I should of given him the brakes as well) 😉

Plastic Pig 1978. We used to take a mobile disco around in the back plus 4 of us. All to rock gigs; we were all bikers & this was the closest thing to a car that we could get or wanted at the time 🙂 Mine was like this but without the 'Eyelashes'. I learnt a lot about riding a bike from driving this back from parties ......

1938 Ford 8. Cable brakes (never really worked), side valve engine (8HP). easy to repair used wood to repair the chassis and lots of fibreglass to fill the holes in with. (MOT not then even thought of then). 6Volt system gave headlights like candles.

vauxhall nova 1.2. fit my own stereo and the petrol gauge packed up. had the stereo nicked and it started working again...god knows how..

I had a mk2 fiesta. Ripped the normal seats out and put xr2i seats in. Put a stereo in it and a couple of 6x9's in the parcel shelf. What on earth I was thinking!

My brother had an xr2i many moons ago.
Always remember when he advertised it he sold it some bloke for the asking price of £4400.
He then called the bloke back and said he wanted £4600 for it as he advertised it too cheap lol....

The bloke still bought it and paid the extra.
I would have told him to *'off lol...🙂

My first car back in '76 was a 1965 Hillman Hunter with a 1750cc engine and a sunshine roof if any of you know what one of those is.

It was a brilliant motor, I can't imagine what the insurance would be on something like this for a youngster nowadays.
