View the thread, titled "What washer for radiator bleed valve" which is posted in DIY Plumbing Advice on UK Plumbers Forums.

I have a old single radiator that's leaking from the bleed valve fitting so I removed it and noticed the plastic sealing washer is worn so I tried using ptfe tape but it was still leaking so can anyone tell me what washer to use. I need a 20mm ID and 27mm OD.

Did you wrap the tape around the parallel thread or use it to make a washer on the flat flange where it seals?
The flange could do with all the burrs filing off so it seats flat against the radiator.

There was a hard plastic washer on the flange

There was a hard plastic washer on the flange so I tried wrapping ptfe tape around the threads to make a new washer. I also tried wrapping ptfe around the treads.
This is the plastic washer.

Try a fibre washer.

3/4" (19mm ID) are widely available, e.g. from Wickes. (I doubt that the plastic washer is original.) You can also get 20 mm fibre washers but they are not as common.

Or replace the whole valve, they are not expensive and come with a seal.
