Whats the odds of getting your money back off checkatrade?

Big mistake signing into this mob feels like a dictatorship at times the very few calls i have had been from bottom feeders or nightmare custs.

Latest one went out to quote for a job few weeks ago and when i turned up cust was half cut , rude and went on about payment plans.Obviously never quoted as didn't want the job due to his attitude 4 weeks later somehow been slatted in a review even tho i never done any work!!!

Said to salesman when before i signed that i want to decide what jobs i take as if i don't want then they can't write review ? Yes they can't write a review hey ho tho they can so been mislead here as well .

Whats the deal with getting money back with this shower?

i would imagine almost impossible they have terms and cons pretty watertight on these hard sell deals

they recently started to allow feedback if trades dont respond to calls etc, which is a reasonable call, after all not all tradesmen turn up to quote or do work on time if at all. You can reply to poor reports as well.

As with any form of advertising you get good and bad, checkatrade started off slow for me, but after gaining references I now get fairly regular work. The customers I get are those new to the area, mainly 2nd homers down from London, so the rewards are fairly good. I have covered the cost of advertizing this year with 2 decent installs and other works.

If you are unhappy you need to abide by their rules, 3 references a month etc etc otherwise you'll not have a leg to stand on. Speak to them, push it up the line gently, you may be pleasantly surprised with their response. I got monthly payments over 6 months and 18 months for the price of 12, along with some other bits included through continual pressure when they cocked up.

Not being a smart arse but you need to input photos and build your web picture up for checkatrade to work for you

Speak to them would be nice if my advisor would actually answer , i don't think I'm in the best area as the few calls i have had have been the bottom feeding nightmares you don't want.

My biggest beef with them i was very specific to sales rep about what i am signing into i and what i don't want . He stated i am not signing into anything like that which was a lie.

so email the boss, Mr Byrne and you'll get a response if you provide a reasonable argument and arent to abusive.
