Worcester 28 si 11 combi

Hey guys,Just a quick one. Been looking at a Worcester 28 si 11 combi boiler. The hot water stopped working sometimes and going to reset. So changed the pcb and it worked great for a couple of weeks. Boiler has now started going to lockout every now and again when trying to get hot water.Would I be correct in saying that I should maybe try changing the electrode/ flame and ignition set?Thanks Danny

Hello if its in a hard water area i might be worth looking at the plate heat exchanger, i had the same problem a while ago, i changed it over and has worked fine since. Or give Worcester a ring there technical team are very good

if it was the plate heat exchanger it would be going hot and cold all the time, also cant imagine blocked plate heat exchanger sending a boiler in to lock out

I'm guessing they dont have the heating on yet, and it may not specific to the hot water

the more i think about it the more i think its like you said something to do with ignition, that can be intermittent, sometimes it catches sometimes it doesnt, when it doesnt light boiler will go to lock out
