Hi got a pain of a problem with our boiler, it keeps turning itself off when it's windy, constantly have to reset it, works great when it's on, plenty of hot tap water, C/heating working ok, it's just the damn thing keeps turning itself off...
i've thought it might have the wrong outside vent fitted?? Dunno just grabbing at straws really..:willy_nilly:..
Anyone got a clue???...

Re: Worcester Green Star 24i junior

Is it a new installation? Or just started happening after a few years?

Re: Worcester Green Star 24i junior

Hi pal,
boiler is approx 6yrs old, we inherited this problem from previous owners that did'nt inform us of this fault, been in property approx 3yrs, never been able to get it sorted, had a muppet from british gas out but he would'nt svc it cos it had a known fault, i've had to replace the plastic multi-junction pipe that goes to the heat exchanger the part with the temp sensor in it, (pin hole) spraying water everywhere..
We had this wind issue long before that pipe unit burst tho..

why do you think the vent pipe is wrong you say its getting knocked off by the wind new one on me that does it relight on its own

Re: Worcester Green Star 24i junior

You need a gsr in to look at your boiler. We cannot and will not give advice on the installation or repair of boilers for your own safety.

Please go to Gas Safe Register | Ensure your gas engineer is registered. or post a thread in the 'I'm looking for a plumber / gas engineer' section of these forums remembering to include your location. [DLMURL="http://www.ukplumbersforums.co.uk/im-looking-plumber-gas-engineer/"]I'm looking for a Plumber or Gas Engineer[/DLMURL]

If you are gsr please increase your post count to 10+ then send a pm to either Gas man or Redsaw who will then check you and then give you access to the gsr private forum.

Thank you.
