evenin all......went out to a noisy worcester greenstar he plus 30 earlier today....now i know the diverter is shot as its dumping down when calling for hot water and the hot water dont get upto temp.....but when the boiler is getting upto temperature its starts making a loud humming noise!!! would the faulty diverter cause this??? any help would appreciated.

could be numatic resistance trough the combi trough the dv being shot or plate heat being blocked,if the heat exchanger is dirty it can also cause this boiler to whine

thanks gas man...will take out the plate and soak in spirit of salts when i go back and change diverter and hope it cures the problem.

Could be diverter but you would think if so would do that most of the time, you say seems to be happening when temp reached so when burner setting low ,so could just need slight adjustment

imho
