Worcester Greenstar Junior 24i Plate Exchanger

Hello. Im really hammering you with boiler breakdown questions at the moment :thinking:

Worcester Greenstar Junior24i, get 3 mins of hot water then the boiler cuts out. I can hear the heat exchanger fizzing inside so Im fairly certain its overheating. If I leave the hot tap running then it fires back up on its own, its not locking out.

Had it in service mode for 15 mins and it stayed on. Heating was perfect.

Im thinking plate heat exchanger? Question is, can I get it out without taking all the hydro block out?

Im seeing more and more of these, so any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Just take the hydroblock out, its really not very hard. I have done a couple recently. The plate heat exchanger comes with all the washers needed for removing the hydroblock. First time I did it, it took about 1 1/2 hours from start to finish.
