On 2"? I just don't think it get them tight enough, unless your talking about the mega big shifters that are like £70 ?

Still would go with shifter. In my opinion stillys for pipe only,. shifters for fittings.
I know they might be dear but so are 3ft stillys and how often do you use them?

I'm fitting 54 mm copper ATM gas run I soldered 2 sockets with my super fire no problem. I've got a few questions I'm fitting new gas main I need to no what valves and purge points to put in any help would be good cheers

Think the commercial engineer who's signing off and commissioning should be able to tell u better than any one on here.
