without
A minister without portfolio is either a government minister with no specific responsibilities or a minister who does not head a particular ministry. The sinecure is particularly common in countries ruled by coalition governments and a cabinet with decision-making authority wherein a minister without portfolio, while they may not head any particular office or ministry, may still receive a ministerial salary and has the right to cast a vote in cabinet decisions. In some countries where the executive branch is not composed of a coalition of parties and, more often, in countries with purely presidential systems of government, such as the United States, the position of minister without portfolio (or an equivalent position) is uncommon.
Hi All
I am creating an ensuite bathroom abd have to fit a macerator(i know i Know) the instructions require the shower waste be fitted without a trap (i assume it is for the flow rate of rh waste water) Any ideas on where to find this. I have been lookong at Mcalpine fast flow traps, would this...
Have one radiator still not working despite whole lot new now and was the only one tepid before all changed and don't really know if drain valve necessary anyway as another drain option outside from another radiator too.
Actual valve on turning weeps water and so was wondering whether...
The inlet valve bottom entry to toilet cistern developed a drip that flowed under toilet and dampened grout on tiles. Initially I could not figure where leak was so fearing it was an underfloor pipe I called out the original plumber from 13 years ago. Turns out it was the inlet valve to...
Hi there - I have a Worcester Greenstar 25Si combi boiler running our heating rads. I've recently added a small tank with a heating element powerd by solar into the rads circuit. It's producing good heat, but I need a circulation pump to be on to move the heat around the system. Ideally I'd like...
I would like advise on what is the fair price for a public liability insurance cover (what covers damage up to £2.000.000)?
and I would like to know if there is a company that anybody could refer me to?
Thank you
I would like to simply cut the flex copper pipe off just past the cut-off valve and attach a Shartbite male fitting or a compression fitting on the remaining copper stub which would be 7/8 inch in length after the cut. Would that meet code? Live in North Texas.
Thanks,
Don
After calling a plumber to look at our leaking power shower he discovered that there is no vent pipe coming off the hot water cylinder . The cylinder is an old indirect vented cylinder heated from the central heating boiler and has a secondary electric immersion heater that is disconnected...
Hi was wondering if it was possible to change my bath drain as it has gone a little rusty but i don't have any access under the bath as the side of the bath is tiled in.
It looks as if it would just unscrew an pull out but im worried about it disturbing the rest of the drain and ending up being...
Any idea how to get into the cartridge on this tap. I can remove the spout and also unscrew the sleeve on both hot and cold. No idea if there is a cap for the levers to remove. Thought for a while that it was an anti clockwise unscrew, but that doesn't work either :-(
Went to this boiler today as the property is being sold and the owners have had a offer , the boiler was nearly jumping off the wall when firing up:eek:💥, stripped it down to find the heat exchanger blocked solid with aluminium scale not allowing a smooth flow of products through bit of tlc and...
Evening all
My rads are quite old (30 yearsish) they are the standard single panel rads. The ones downstairs have large cold patches at the bottom when the heating is on. I want to keep them as I do not want anything deeper to block vital space and because I do not want to change the pipe...
Hi
I've got a steel pipe that's snapped off in the wall (see the photo). It travels through the wall and into a screeded floor. Is there a fitting suitable for gas or a way to thread the pipe without chopping half the wall away?
I've removed a radiator from the wall. The trv and lockshield are still attached to the pipes but turned off. Heating is still on and other rads are still working.
I've got a new radiator, trv and lockshield to fit.
I've read some guides on how to replace the radiator, but they all mention...
Same issue and I'd really appreciate the help.
In a system like this, or something else you can suggest, how would the buffer tank be enabled to provide its stored heat without the boiler/heat pump consuming energy to create heat?
Please advise.
Thanks.
Went to a main combi, not serviced or looked at for years- can't be that old 5-7yr but shoddy install. Expv flat as per. Got the beast going but it fired once or twice without demand. Dirt in the system right? Sticking flow switch or ....?
any thoughts?
Can anyone tell me what the name is for the process of soldering fittings to the wall of a pipe is like in the pic below? I remember seeing a video of someone making the holes for the fitting but can’t find it anymore and need to make a fitting like in the picture.
Many thanks
