going to take the plunge and fork out for one of these, will be cheaper in the long run than buying
guides! anyone got any good-bad things to say about it? I rarely bend 22mm unless its a offset or on a long gas run etc. also I have stared applying flux to fittings with the solder wire tip. I know I use much more flux than usual but im not the one paying for it so....... . its a bit fiddly putting it on the pipe with it tho, how do you guys do? wont get into the debate about flux on pipe or fitting or both but I do both. I did use a brush but also keep loosing them or dropping them in dust.

Bahco benders are very good only problem in my book is they don't do a 22mm set!

You should apply flux to the pipe really as when you put it in the fitting a lot gets pushed into the pipe

bacho benders are ok, the plastic guide wears out tho so take that into consideration. best option is get a record solo off ebay, i brought 2 brand new ones for around £6 and £15 each, just have to keep your eyes open

flux what you want if its not gas, just flush ya pipework. i normally use end of solder wire as well. if i need to ill finger it around the pipe.

I use a flux brush with ever flux, the blue lid closes tight over the flux brush when not using it and keeps it all together. As for benders I got a year or so ago the Bend it now pipe benders ([DLMURL="http://www.benditnow.co.uk/index.php/plumbing-machines/bhb-15-22/product/show"]BHB-15/22 (15-22mm Hand Bender)[/DLMURL]) These are very good and feel well built. Would def go with these but I managed to get mine for £50 some how :S
