I have a Bristan Easyfit Rio Basin tap assembly, and I have a drip which more than likely means that the ceramic valve needs cleaning or replacing, however after removing the screw in the top of the handle I cannot get the handle assembly off, I'm using WD40 and tapping it gently with a small hammer but to no avail, any ideas??

If you isolate both supplies, this tap will lift off very easy. Loosen both the grub screws at the base of the tap and lift off, tip upside down and gently tap the head off. Sorted. Refit. make sure you tighten the grub screws. Job done.
