Hi Fellas,

Im new to this site and have a question???!

When converting an open vented system to a sealed system (expansion vessel, PRV and all the rest) can I connect into either of the primaries?
The boiler is located in the garage and would be an ideal place for me to site the expansion kit etc.......!

any thoughts??

thanks

You sure can, what were you planning on using them for? Primary's again?

expansion vessel on the return normally.

what boiler is it your converting? have you check with the manufacturer its suitable?

welcome to the forum. :)

AW beat me to it about making sure that the manufacturer allows the conversion.

Also with it in the garage do you have a frost stat / pipe stat for the colder weather?

Welcome to the forum :)

Thanks fellas,

Yeh ive checked with manufactures docs etc.....all good to be converted!
Primaries will still be used as the primaries Whn1, frost stat exsiting SimonG and why would you generally put the expansion on the return AW?

Dont forget the disclammer that says no guranntee will be given on existing pipework
